Firstly, let us check out all the saved WiFi networks in your PC. Follow the steps below:

Using Command Prompt :

STEP 1: Open Command Prompt
Go to Start menu, search "cmd", then right click and Run as Administrator.

STEP 2: Enter the following command

netsh wlan show profiles

Done! A list of all saved WiFi networks in the system will be displayed.

Now, if you want to see the password of any WiFi network in the list, follow the steps below:

How To Find Any Saved WiFi Password in Windows PC (Windows 7/8/10) using Command Prompt

Step 1: Open Command Prompt

Step 2: Enter the following command
netsh wlan show profile name="NETWORK" key=clear

Step 3: Replace WiFi name in the command
From the command in Step 2, remove the part "NETWORK" and replace it with the required WiFi name. You can find the correct name from the saved WiFi list.

Step 4: Get Security Key
After you enter the command, look under the "Security Settings" in the output. The "Key Content" field displays the password for the required WiFi network.

Find Active WiFi Password through Network Connections in Windows PC (Windows 7/8/10)

Now, if you want to find the password of the current WiFi nwtwork in your Windows PC, follow the steps below:

  1. Go to Start > Control Panel
  2. Click on Network and Sharing Center
  3. Click on the connected/active WiFi network to view its status window
  4. Click on Wireless Properties button in the new pop-up window
  5. Open Security tab in the new pop-up window
  6. Tick the checkbox to see the password characters
Now the password of the active WiFi network is shown.
